Cats, cats, cats

I’ve decided to dedicate an entire post to my cats, specifically: Odi. (he has the most pictures)

Here’s the story about my cats:

In spring 2007, my chorus teacher at school begged her students to convince their parents to get a cat from a litter that her neighbor had. At this time, my mom and I had no cats, they all had passed away over the past 7 years. So I went home and playfully begged my mom. She said that someone had told her there’s another litter also. So, we decided to go to the litter her friend’s had first. When we got there, I fell in love with Tyler (as I named him). We brought him home and he was quiet whole drive. He slept in his little bed that I bought for him right next to me all night until about 6am, then he wanted to play. Tyler was my buddy. He gave me kisses in the morning if i puckered my lips and he was such a sweetheart. He was my favorite obviously.
When the other litter was ready (the one my chorus teacher told us about), we went out to see them. Of course I wanted a girl kitty, but my mom insisted boys were better. I fell in love with little Odi (my mom named him). When it was time to take him home, we put him in the carrier and he screamed the whole way home.
My mom seemed okay with keeping two cats, but unfortunately Tyler and Odi didn’t get along. I wanted to keep Tyler, but my mom wasn’t listening to me about it. One day, I took Tyler to my dad’s house (their cat had just passed so I thought they might like Tyler and want to keep him) and while I was at work on a Saturday, my uncle took Tyler home to see if he was compatible with his other cats. Turns out, they loved him. So I was stuck with Odi whom I was convinced wasn’t the cat to keep.
Odi doesn’t like to be held, he has awful playing habits, he likes to scratch the walls and carpet until there’s nothing left. And he is fat. as. ever.

Summer 2008, my friend from Wisconsin, where she moved a year earlier, was in town and staying at her dad’s. She had three cats: Bibs, Icises, and Oreo. They weren’t being taken care of as well as they should have been and her dad didn’t want them. So my mom and I rescued them. In the end, we kept Bibs and Oreo (Odi’s other half, I swear). Icises was taken to a shelter because she wasn’t loosening up for us and four cats was too much.
Bibs is my girl. I’m like her mommy to her. And Oreo is just….Oreo. Lol.

“you can’t see me!!”

I was cleaning the top draw (the bottom was falling out anyways) and his catnip actually fell behind all the drawers and he went and got it really quick when I pulled the drawer out lol. Later on he decided to sit in there.

he always found a way into this plant and he would leave his butt sticking out.

he used to do this all the time until he got uber fat

“how do i use this thing??”mhm
